baklava from paradise

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006

Snack_paradiseI’m supposed to write my essay, I know. Auge is haunting my existence like a desperate ghost… Shouting in my ears that I must finish it by tomorrow morning!

Somehow, here I am mumbling on this page. Two pieces of baklavas, a cup of coffee, and a handful of dried sultana should have given enough energy. Maybe those baklavas… Oh, so smooth, perfect mix of sweet and creamy, the crushed pistacio all over it!! So yuuummm… I just can’t get enough of it! Yusuf and I came accross a really good place called Cranberry at London Bridge station which sell baklava from paradise!!!

the first three days

Newyear_ldn_006 My days in 2006 started with a splendid fire work on the south bank of Thames. And the first three days that followed were really wonderful! Hope it will be even more joyous for the rest of this year.

Just like any other new year mornings, getting up early has always been nearly  London_fair_004impossible. We missed the parade, but the good news was: London Fair was open until 10pm that day! Yippiiiee… I always love city fair! It brings me some sort of jolly memories from my childhood.

Joury2_1 Lovely evening meal with my loved one at the Joury, a Lebanese restaurant we bumped into on 72 Duke Street, very close to the purse-draining Oxford Street :-)  Very meaty meal… thick tase of lamb balanced with salty and sour olive… Yuuummiiieeehhh…
